It’s pretty easy to look past the wonders of nature, but every once in awhile something comes along that makes you slow down a bit and gain a deeper appreciation of things. As shared by AWM, this video does the trick in that regard, and it also happens to be incredibly educational.
The video centers on the life cycle of frogs, which is truly a fascinating journey. Most people are familiar with the concept of a tadpole becoming a frog, but there’s a lot more than meets the eye here. In fact, just getting to the tadpole stage is a whole other process entirely.
Frogs begin their journey as a simple egg that eventually hatches into a limbless larva with gills. From that point, it grows a bit and eventually sprouts out limbs while developing its lungs internally. The metamorphosis kicks into high gear from that point, and its whole appearance and internal organs are rearranged in the next growth phase.
Fast forward just a tad, and we have ourselves a living, breathing frog that can survive in and out of the water. Have a look at this fascinating journey – there’s a pretty good chance you’ll never look at frogs the same way again.
